Politician in Ansarullah describes US moves off Yemen’s coasts as hostile

SANAA, Aug. 09 (YPA) – Member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, Ali al-Qahoum, warned on Tuesday of the danger of US military moves off the Yemeni coast.

In a tweet on “Twitter”, Al-Qahoum said that Sanaa is closely monitoring the continuous flow of US forces and warships off the Yemeni coast, the strategic Bab al-Mandab, and the islands, as well as their temporary placement in some military bases in Al-Anad, Khor Omira, Hadramout, Mahra, Socotra, and Mayon.

Al-Qahoum described these moves as “hostile action” targeting Yemen and the entire region. He stressed that Yemen is always present in protecting maritime and international navigation and is committed to international law.

He stated that this unjustified American military presence represents a threat to the region in the first place, especially in the American preemptive moves to control and intensive presence in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, considering those moves a threat to international and regional security and a flagrant violation of international norms and laws.
