Mahra’s sit-in committee reveals truth about Saudi grant, economic war on Yemen

MAHRA, Aug. 02 (YPA) – The spokesman for the sit-in committee in Mahra province, Ali Mubarak Mahamed, said on Wednesday that “Saudi Arabia continues its absurd economic policy with the continuation of the war on Yemen and the siege imposed on the Yemeni people.”

The latest Saudi $1.2 billion grant to Aden’s central bank, according to Mahamed, is a falsehood similar to reconstruction and deposits from which the citizens do not profit. He confirmed that the grant’s fate, like that of its predecessor, has no actual and palpable impact within Yemen.

In a tweet, the sit-in committee’s spokesman indicated that the Saudi donation would be used to pay the wages of the leaders of the Presidential Council and the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition who are now abroad.

He stated that Saudi Arabia utilizes the lies of reconstruction, deposits, and professed support to put that in the war bill at the expense of the Yemeni people’s livelihood and blood.
