Al-Hirak Al-Janubi ridicules Saudi grant to Aden-based central bank

SANAA, Aug 02 (YPA) – Head of the Supreme Council for Revolutionary Movement (Al-Hirak Al-Janubi), Fouad Rashid, ridiculed the Saudi grant to Yemen’s Aden-based central bank, which is under the control of the pro- coalition government.

“The country is on the brink of economic collapse, and the current support is a painkiller injection that can work temporarily,” Rashid said on Twitter.

Rashid wondered by saying, “How can the government of corruption dispose of such an amount of money and direct it in the right path?”

Earlier in the day, Saudi Arabia announced it would provide financial grant to the Bank of Aden in the amount of 1.2 million dollars to address the government budget deficit and support for the Saudi-formed Presidential Leadership Council, led by Rashad al-Alimi, to pay salaries, wages and operating expenses.
