STC takes first steps against Islah’s violations in Hadramawt

HADRAMOUT, July 31 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has taken the first steps against “First Military Region” affiliated with Isalh party in Wadi Hadramawt, eastern Yemen.

Faraj al-Bahsani, the member of the “Presidential Leadership Council”, who was appointed last May as vice president of the STC, on Monday called on the investigation committee and the security of Wadi Hadramawt to quickly submit outcomes of the investigation into the shooting by the Islah factions at demonstrators in early July in the center of the city of Seiyun.

Al-Bahsani also called on the Hadrami components, tribes and social figures in the valley and Desert districts to join hands and unite efforts alongside the STC.

This comes after the STC sent military reinforcements from Aden and Abyan to Mukalla in the past few days, amid a wide spread of Islah factions in the valley districts.
