Aden plagues darkness after electricity service goes out completely

ADEN, July 27 (YPA) – Aden Electricity Corporation announced on Thursday that the purchased power system completely out of Service.

According to local sources, electricity was cut off for more than 70% of subscribers in the city, after the purchased energy companies were unable to provide fuel, while the rest are subject to continuous outages of up to 9 hours.

Aden electricity appealed in a statement to quickly rescue the system and pay the financial dues to the purchased energy companies, condemning the coalition government’s disregard for the suffering of citizens while continuing to evade the payment of financial dues.

The city of Aden and the southern governorates are witnessing popular protests condemning the collapse of the currency and the deterioration of services, especially electricity.
