Israeli occupation detains Palestinian Minister

SANAA, July 25 (YPA) – The Israeli occupying forces detained the head of the wall and settlement resistance authority, Minister Moayyed Shaaban, in the village of Deir Istia, west of Salfit, during his participation in the march condemning the seizure of land in the town.

The occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at the participants and prevented press crews from covering.

“This March came in response to the establishment of outposts in Deir Istia area, and today we are closing the main street to settlers to say only that it is for Palestinians, and now, by a decision of the Palestinian Popular Resistance, only Palestinian vehicles are allowed to cross the main street adjacent to Deir Istia, and we will not allow any settler to pass from this area,” the Minister Moayyed Shaaban said in a media statement, before his detention.
