Lahj governor warns against US, British, French ambassadors’ moves in Yemen

SANAA, July 25 (YPA) – The governor of Lahj province appointed by the Sanaa Government, Ahmed Hamoud Juraib, confirmed on Tuesday that the American-British intervention in the southern provinces has become obvious through their direct role in planning and arranging the war and siege on Yemen.

“The recent movements and frequent visits of the American and British ambassadors are the best evidence of this, especially after the failure of Saudi Arabia and the UAE to achieve any of the goals of the global arrogance forces in Yemen,” the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) quoted Juraib as saying in a statement.

Juraib stated that the indications of those movements and repeated visits confirm what the revolution leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, warned of, noting the danger of the ambitions of America and Britain and its colonial projects in Yemen, given its great strategic and geopolitical importance at the regional and international levels.

He pointed out that the American, British and French ambassadors’ movement in “the occupied southern provinces” aimed to strengthen their military presence there, considering that a violation of Yemeni sovereignty and a direct interference in Yemen’s internal affairs.

The governor of Lahj explained that the intense diplomatic and intelligence activity of the US ambassador and his spying apparatus in recent months has expanded and crossed internationally recognized borders, which was evident during his recent visit to Aden accompanied by Marines and the installation of eavesdropping devices in conjunction with the docking of US battleships, ships and military forces near the Yemeni coasts in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

“There are US and British intentions previously revealed to establish naval military bases on the coasts of the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout and Shabwa,” he added.

Juraib considered the claims of America and Britain about the high rate of risks in the Arabian Sea to the navigational movement as “malicious” and reveal the agenda of the colonial powers in the eastern coasts of Yemen.

The governor of Lahj called on the people of the southern provinces to unify the ranks to confront the colonial schemes that the occupier seeks to impose and divide Yemen, urging the free patriotic forces to work to thwart the international conspiracies being hatched against Yemen, especially in the southern and eastern provinces.
