SHABWA, July 24 (YPA) – A high-speed sea storm hit on Monday the coastal area of Arqa in Radum district of Shabwa province.
According to local sources, the storm resulted in damage to some citizens’ homes, the destruction of solar energy systems, as well as damage to the property and boats of fishermen, without causing human casualties.
The search is still underway for some boats and engines belonging to the fishermen.
This storm comes in conjunction with the exposure of the city and Aden airport to strong winds accompanied by a rain thunderstorm, which caused widespread destruction of public and private property and major damage at Aden airport, as a result of which a number of passengers, including children, were injured and two flights from Aden to Jeddah and Cairo Airports were postponed.
