LAHJ, July 24 (YPA) – Al-Sabiha tribes in Lahj province, southern Yemen, confirmed on Monday that Ahmed Youssef Al-Surra is acquitted of the Taiz police’s accusation that he was involved in the assassination of Moayad Hamidi, director of the World Food Programme (WFP).
The tribes stated in a statement that they had evidence, including videos and surveillance cameras, showing the time of the crime against the UN official.
The statement indicated that the accused “Al-Surra” was present with one of the sheikhs of the “Al-Fayoush” area in Lahj throughout Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
In their statement, the Al-Sabiha tribes called on the Taiz police to quickly reveal the truth to the public.
