Gunmen kill UN official in Taiz

TAIZ, July 21 (YPA) -Gunmen belonging to Saudi-led coalition forces assassinated an official in World Food Program (WFP) in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.

Media sources reported that a UN staff working for WFP and a Jordanian national had been killed by gunmen today in Al-Torbuh city, which is under the control of Islah militants.

The sources confirmed that the gunmen shot and killed Mr. Moayyad Saeed ‎Hameidi, the head of WFP team while he was eating lunch in a restaurant on his way to Taiz for humanitarian and relief purposes.

This incident comes only shortly after international organizations decided to open an official office to organize their humanitarian interventions.
