ADEN, July 20 (YPA) – The General Union of Employees of the “Judicial Authority” in Aden province and other areas controlled by the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition announced on Thursday a comprehensive strike in all facilities and departments of the judiciary, starting next Sunday, after suspending it for a period of six months.
The union’s statement emphasized that the strike comes after the expiration of the six-month deadline for the Supreme Judicial Council and the government in Aden to meet and fulfill the legitimate human rights demands of the administrative staff, but with the deadline finished without achieving anything.
According to the statement, the union decided to strike after extensive meetings with the heads of the courts and prosecution unions in the coalition-controlled provinces for a whole week, at a time when it called on the Southern Judges Club and all union entities and councils to stand with it and support the strike.
