SANAA, July. 20 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology on Thursday expected rainfall over several Yemeni provinces.
In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that the rains will prevail over the provinces of Ibb, Taiz, Rayma, Dhalea, Bayda, Sanaa, Dhamar, Lahj, Abyan, Hadramout and Mahra.
It indicated that sporadic rains may fall in parts of Saada, Shabwa, Amran, Hajjah, and Mahweet.
The center pointed out that the expected winds will be strong to very strong around the Socotra archipelago and parts of the eastern coasts, with speeds ranging between 27-45 knots, as well as active to strong winds on the southern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, reaching its speeds between 20-30 knots.
It warned citizens against being in the valleys and water ways as a result of rainfall.
