Meteorology warns of hot weather targeting desert, coastal areas

SANAA, July. 16 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology warned on Sunday citizens of hot weather targeting the desert and coastal areas, with the temperature reaching 44 degrees Celsius.

The center stated that the strong winds, ranging in speed between 25-45 knots, will hit the Socotra archipelago and parts of the eastern and southern coasts, as well as the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

It expected scattered showers in parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea and Lahj and Abyan, Sanaa, Bayda, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Mahra.

The meteorological center renewed its warning, about the dangers of high temperatures, and not to be exposed directly to sunshine.
