SANAA, July. 16 (YPA) – Ministry of Health in the Sanaa government strongly condemned on Sunday the air raids by the coalition’s drones on Al-Barah Hospital in Maqbana district of Taiz province.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that the bombing resulted in heavy damage to hospital departments and ambulances, in addition to great panic among doctors and patients.
It considered targeting hospitals and health facilities a war crime in the light of silence of the United Nations and the international community.
The statement revealed that more than 500 hospitals and health facilities have been completely and partially destroyed by the coalition since the war on Yemen started in 2015.
The ministry’s statement urgently called for lifting the blockade on Sanaa airport for the travel of patients and the arrival of equipment and medical assistance to enable the health sector to withstand and alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
Earlier in the day, a security source in Taiz had announced that the coalition’s spy planes had targeted Al-Barah Hospital with a barrage of missiles.
