Public angry protests escalate against coalition in Aden

ADEN, July. 13 (YPA) – The people of the southern and eastern provinces of Yemen have called for the expulsion of the coalition and its armed factions due to the systematic destruction of all necessities of life.

In a campaign on Twitter, dozens of activists of the southern provinces, accused the coalition of destroying the Yemeni economy, calling for the expulsion of its factions from all provinces under the name of “Revolution of Hungry” and the formation of a local administration for those areas of youth.

They explained that the price of a 50-kilogram bag of flour was a value of 6,000 riyals in Aden before the start of the war on Yemen, while its value now is reaching about 50,000 riyals in the city.

This came after the continuous devaluation of the Yemeni riyal against foreign currencies, which $1 equals 1480 Yemeni riyals in Aden and the rest of the southern and eastern provinces, as a result of the failure to manage the economy by the government loyal to the coalition, which doubled the suffering of citizens.

The various areas of Aden, which are under the control of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions have witnessed during the past hours widespread protests in Al-Mualla, where they cut off the main roads, in conjunction with the angry protests in cities of Crater and Mansoura, amid demands for the departure of the ST’s leaders.

Aden people have tried to tend to form a political entity to manage the city in various security, economic and service aspects, ensuring a decent life for them.
