ICRC humanitarian actions in Hodeida discussed

SANAA, July 11 (YPA) – The First Undersecretary of Hodeida Province, Ahmed Al-Bishri, met with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) sub-delegation, Ashot Aspatsian, on Tuesday to discuss the CRC’s humanitarian and service interventions in the province.

During the meeting, Al-Bishri reviewed aspects of the province’s service sector needs in the areas of health, water, and electricity, as well as addressing the damage left by the Saudi-led coalition war in the infrastructure of projects, and removing the war remnants, such as mines, cluster bombs, and others.

He stated that the province of Hodeida needs further assistance to ensure the continuity of the ICRC-supported services, and expressed optimism that the delegation’s measures will be expanded to encompass numerous service areas in the future.

Aspatsian and his deputy, David Mont, appreciated the degree of coordination and collaboration between the ICRC mission and the province’s responsible authorities.
