Fire devours homes of displaced in Hodeida

HODEIDA, July 10 (YPA) – A fire broke out in a number of the homes of the displaced people in Al-Qanawas district in Hodeida province on Sunday.

Assistant Undersecretary for the Affairs of the Northern Districts, Ghaleb Hamza, explained that a field visit was made to the village of Al-Hindi to see the damages of the fire that broke out as a result of strong winds during the preparation of the lunch meal.

Hamza stated that the fire destroyed six homes for the displaced, including food and livestock, without causing casualties or injuries, pointing out that the displaced families whose homes were damaged have become homeless and in urgent need of assistance and food.
