STC receives another blow by announcing new political bloc in Shabwa

SHABWA, July 10 (YPA) – The largest tribal bloc against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) project in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen, was declared amid accusations that Saudi Arabia funded the announcement ceremony.

Informed local sources confirmed that a number of political and social tribal figures declared the “National Alliance of the Shabwa Tribes” bloc in the city of Ataq, the center of the province.

The Alliance was supposed to be announced on Monday in the city, according to a statement issued by the alliance Saturday, indicating that the leaders of the UAE-funded factions had refused the publicity ceremony under the pretext that it was affiliated with the Islah Party.
