RSF accuses Sudan’s army of killing 31 people, shelling civilian neighborhoods

WORLD, July 09 (YPA) – The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemned the deliberate airstrikes launched by  Sudan’s army aircraft which occurred on Saturday morning and targeted innocent civilians in various residential areas of West Omdurman.

“This heinous attack, orchestrated by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), has resulted in the tragic loss of over 31 lives and numerous civilian injuries. Furthermore, it has caused significant destruction to homes. This act represents a grave crime against humanity and a clear violation of our religious values, cultural norms, and international conventions. It serves as a stark demonstration of the deep-rooted animosity and injustice harbored by this corrupt faction towards our people,” the RSF said in a statement.

The statement added, “We urge all relevant parties, both domestically and internationally, to fulfill their responsibilities by actively monitoring and documenting the ongoing genocidal acts committed by the coup forces and remnants of the former regime against civilians, following their failed attempts to seize power.”

It continued: “We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to protecting the Sudanese population from the attacks carried out by the SAF, supported by remnants and terrorist groups, who persistently pursue a policy of destruction.”
