WORLD, July 09 (YPA) – At least nine people have been confirmed missing, after a landslide hit a highway construction site in Yichang City, central China’s Hubei Province Saturday, China’s Emergencies Ministry announced on Sunday.
The landslide occurred at around 4 p.m., according to local authorities.
As of 23:00 on Saturday (local time), rescuers had managed to pull 5 people out of the rubble. 17 people were also evacuated from 8 homes.
Search and rescue work operation in under way.
