SANAA, July 4 (YAP) – Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary General to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, said on Wednesday that he had held fruitful talks with Leader of Ansarullah movement, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi.

In a statement before departing Sanaa International Airport, Griffiths assured that he received positive and constructive messages during his visit to Sanaa and his meetings with Ansarullah representatives.

“I am particularly grateful to Leader of Ansarullah movement, Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, for the support and fruitful meetings we have held,” said Griffiths.

The UN envoy affirmed that finding a solution to the situation in Hodeidah would create “positive conditions for re-launching peace talks in the coming days.”

He stated that he would brief the UN Security Council on Thursday, July 5, on the results of his talks in Sanaa and Aden.
