SANAA, July. 05 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected hot weather targeting desert and coastal areas in several Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.
The center said, in its weather forecast, that rainfall may praveil over parts of Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb and Dhamar, Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Sanaa, Rayma, Bayda and Abyan, as well as Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra province.
It noted that the maximum temperatures ranging between 38-44 degrees Celsius in the desert areas, and 33-40 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas and plains and the Socotra archipelago.
The center stated that the wind may be strong to very fast around the Socotra archipelago, with speed ranging between 25-40 knots, and active to strong speeds at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, the Gulf of Aden, the southern and eastern coasts, reaching 20-30 knots.
It called on citizens to take away from valleys and torrential passages in areas where rain expected.
