SANAA, June29 (YPA) – The Supreme Economic Committee of the Sanaa government slammed on an statement issued by the ambassadors of the US, Britain and France about Yemen.
The committee affirmed, in a news statement, that those countries revealed their insistence on continuing the economic war against the Yemeni people and continuing to hinder humanitarian demands, especially the salaries of state employees in Yemen.
“The statement of America, Britain and France has shown the continuation of these countries in fallacies and twisting the facts, to cover up their hostile actions against the Yemeni people,” the committee explained.
The committee statement added, “America, Britain and France were and still are the spearhead and mastermind of the war and siege on Yemen, and the use of the economy as a war card.”
“These countries have planned and given the green light to transfer the functions of the Central Bank from Sanaa, and suspended the salaries of state employees, pensions and social security benefits, in addition, their efforts today openly to prevent any steps to pay the salaries, describing the demand as “extremist demands.”
The committee’s statement pointed out that the deterioration of the humanitarian and economic situation in Yemen is nothing but a deliberate action by the coalition that America, Britain and France stand behind, indicating that United Nations’ reports have confirmed its use of the economy as a war card and created the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
It explained that the decision to prevent the plundering of sovereign wealth came to protect and preserve the rights of the Yemeni people, and to prevent the use of its revenues in the war.
The committee considered the payment of the state employee salaries, which can be covered by part of the oil and gas revenues, a right of the Yemeni people who America, Britain and France want to deprive of these revenues.
