Iranian President meets Saudi Foreign Minister in Tehran

TEHRAN, June 18 (YPA) – Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi met on Saturday evening with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in Iran’s capital, Tehran.

The meeting came shortly after a press conference that brought together the Saudi minister with his Iranian counterpart, Hussein Amir Abdollahian, in Tehran.

The Saudi Foreign Minister had said earlier on Saturday evening, in a press conference with his Iranian counterpart, that he would meet the President of Iran and convey to him the Kingdom’s invitation to visit Riyadh “soon.”

This is the first visit by a Saudi official to Iran in nearly seven years.
