Yemen’s junior football team qualify for AFC U-17 Cup quarter-finals

BANGKOK, June 18 (YPA) – The Yemeni national junior football team qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC U-17 Cup after defeating Laos with two goals to one on Sunday.

With this result, the Yemeni junior team topped its group with six points ahead, while the Laos team was finally eliminated from the tournament.

The Yemeni national team will play its third match in the tournament against its host Thai counterpart at the end of the first round.
