Scattered showers expected to prevail over various areas

SANAA, June 18 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected scattered showers in a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.

The center affirmed, in its weather bulletin on Sunday, that rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, may fall on the western mountainous heights, especially in areas of Mahweet, Hajjah, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Rayma, Lahj and Abyan and Shabwa.

According to the center, sporadic rains may fall in areas of the provinces of Bayda, Dhamar, west of Sanaa, Amran, and Saada, in addition to parts of Hadramout and Mahra.

It pointed to the possibility of active winds blowing around the Socotra archipelago and parts of the southern and eastern coasts, with speeds ranging between 25-50 knots.
