17 people killed, others injured due to aerial bombardment in south of Sudan

SANAA, June 17 (YPA) – A number of people were killed and injured in shelling on Saturday in neighborhoods in the south of the Sudanese capital Khartoum as battles continue between the army and the Rapid Support forces, at a time when violence in Darfur is pushing hundreds to cross the border into Chad.

The French press agency quoted a popular group called the Resistance Committees, that neighborhoods in the south of Khartoum, including May and Yarmouk, were subjected to aerial bombardment, which led to the death of 17 civilians, including five children, the injury of others, and the destruction of 25 houses.
