Governor of Aden: Difficult economic situation in Aden portends humanitarian catastrophe
SANAA, June 11 (YPA) – The governor of Aden province in the Sanaa government, Tariq Sallam, confirmed on Sunday that the difficult economic situation in Aden and the increasing price doses imposed by “the mercenary government” (the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition) herald a humanitarian catastrophe.
Sallam explained that massive corruption, looting of the state treasury, and smuggling of hard currency outside the country by “the mercenaries” had exacerbated the situation in Aden and the occupied provinces.
“The conflict between the occupier’s tools in the southern provinces and the military mobilizations taking place in them have drained the state’s resources in favor of mercenaries,” Sallam said.
He added that the mercenaries seek to inflame the situation in the occupied territories to obtain personal gains and interests, while citizens in Aden lack the most basic services.
The governor affirmed that the people of Aden and the southern provinces would not stand idly by in the face of the deterioration of the situation, and they would have a clear and strong position towards the conspiracies hatched against them.
