Saudi Arabia heads to impose new military reality in Aden

ADEN, June 06 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia is heading towards imposing a new military reality in Aden city, south of Yemen, and ending the presence of the UAE-funded southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions, according to political observers.

This came after Saudi Arabia sent on Tuesday a new batch of military vehicles to “Dara al-Watan” forces to the city of Aden.

Eyewitnesses reported that dozens of Saudi military vehicles crossed the Al-Abr-Shabwa road, coming from Al-Wadiah border crossing on their way to Aden. It is the third batch since last May.

These forces imposed its control over important vital sites in the city, after they were stationed in the Al-Shaab area, the largest district of Aden, during the past months.

Saudi Arabia is seeking to open a new front for the UAE in the stronghold of the pro-UAE factions in central Aden, after it sent military reinforcements last May to Mukalla city, the provincial capital of the province, under the pretext of securing the convening of the National Assembly of the STC.
