SANAA, June 06 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal exchange rate recorded on Tuesday a new decline against foreign currencies in the areas controlled by the Saudi-led coalition, reaching 1,332 riyals per US dollar and 352 riyals per Saudi riyal in Aden province.
Money changers in Aden pointed out that the reason for the collapse of the national currency is due to the plundering of the state’s budgets and revenues by corrupt officials of the pro-coalition “government”.
On the other hand, the National Salvation Government succeeded in maintaining the stability of exchange rates in the areas under its control, where the riyal exchange rate stabilized at 531 riyals for one dollar and 142 riyals for the Saudi riyal.
