Driver injured by gang’s gunfire in Lahj

LAHJ, May 29 (YPA) – A driver was injured on Monday by gang gunfire in the province of Lahj, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition factions, north of the city of Aden.

Local sources explained that the driver, Abdul Rahman Hamdi, from Ibb province, was shot and injured in the head in the district of Karsh. The gag is believed to belong to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia.

According to the sources, the driver refused to be blackmailed by the gang, so they shot him unlawfully due to the security chaos in coalition-controlled areas.

The sources pointed out that a number of travelers transferred Hamdi for treatment in a hospital in Aden, without knowing the identity of the perpetrators.
