Woman dies after being swept away by floods

IBB, May 29 (YPA) – A woman died  on Monday, after she was swept away by floods in Yarim district, Ibb governorate, Police said.

The Police in the district confirmed the death of a citizen from the village of Shaar, after she was swept away by floods while trying to cross with her husband.

The directorate’s police added that Ali Abdullah al-Dheeb, the husband of the deceased, survived the floods, which also washed away a number of livestock belonging to the family in the same incident.

The incident comes in light of the continued rainfall in most governorates of the Republic, amid continuous warnings from the Civil Defense Department to all citizens not to be  present or crossing waterways valleys and reefs during rain, because of the danger to their lives.
