Israeli Knesset Speaker to visit Morocco next week
WORLD, May 27 (YPA) – A Moroccan parliamentary source said the Israeli Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana will visit Rabat next week.
The source, who preferred not to be named, added that “Ohana s visit is the first of its kind to Morocco, in his capacity as speaker of the Zionist Knesset, comes at the official invitation of the Moroccan parliament.”
Last week, Rabat announced the formation of the Moroccan-Zionist parliamentary friendship group, according to the official website of the Moroccan House of Representatives (the first chamber of parliament).
On November 21, the House of Representatives ratified the first agreement signed with the Israeli occupation related to international services.
On December 10, 2020, Morocco announced the resumption of diplomatic relations with the Israeli enemy after they were suspended in 2000, following Rabat’s suspension of relations due to the outbreak of the Second Palestinian Intifada.
