Local residents find device of detonating IEDs in Shabwa

SHABWA, May 20 (YPA) – Local residents in the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa province in eastern Yemen, found on Saturday a device used to detonate IEDs remotely, according to security specialists.

According to local media sources, citizens found the detonation device inside one of the neighborhoods of the city and informed the UAE armed elements about the device, where the gunmen of the so-called Second Brigade Giants confiscated the device.

This comes in conjunction with reports of the spread of al-Qaeda elements in the outskirts of the city of Ataq, al-Saaid and Hatip districts.
