In video: Coalition drains Marib tribes in Wadi Obaida

SANAA, May 20 (YPA) – Tribes and sheikhs of Marib province began on Saturday to gather again in Wadi Obaida district of the province.

According to tribal sources, hundreds of notables and sheikhs of the oil-rich province arrived to end the coalition officers-backed tribal fighting between the members of “Al Munif and Al Jumaih” tribes.

Last week, a tribal mediation led by Sheikh Bin Jalal succeeded in stabilizing a truce between the two parties for two days.

Marib tribesmen have accused the coalition forces and Islah militias of fueling conflicts and disputes in Wadi Obaida, with the goal of enabling al-Qaeda elements to settle in the area, which is considered the most important stronghold of the terrorist organization in the province.

Activists on social media circulated a video scene and pictures of the arrival of tribesmen to Wadi Obaida.
