Meteorology warns residents against heat-wave in coming hours

SANAA, May 18 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected hot weather to prevail in the desert areas and the Socotra archipelago, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35-41 degrees Celsius.

In its weather bulletin on Thursday, the center also expected that the coastal areas would witness partly cloudy, and hot and humid weather, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35-38 degrees Celsius.

It also predicted rains of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Rayma.

The bulletin warned citizens in the areas where rain expected to be present in the water ways and the valleys during and after the rains.
