President Al-Mashat warns Saudi Arabia against submitting to American, British blackmail

SANAA, May 15 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, warned on Monday Saudi Arabia against submitting to American and British blackmail.

Al-Mashat said, during a visit he made to Hajjah province, western Yemen, that the American obstruction to resolving the humanitarian issue would, as the leader of the revolution said, lead to impatience.

“Engaging in any escalation now will not only harm Yemen, but also everyone,” he reaffirmed.
“Who responds to American blackmail is the one who holds responsibility,” the president stated. “The Saudis are primarily responsible for the situation in the region.”

He called on Saudi Arabia to realize that its stability be linked to the stability of Yemen.

Mr. President went on to say: “If the Saudi decides to submit to American and British blackmail, this is his business.” “We in the Republic of Yemen have nothing to lose yet.”

Al-Mashat affirmed that Sanaa will move towards building a unified Yemen for all its citizens, with full and undiminished sovereignty.
