Council of Mahra, Socotra warns against being drawn behind occupying countries’ projects

MAHRA, May 10 (YPA) – The people of Mahra and Socotra provinces on Wednesday accused the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) of destabilizing security and stability in the southern and eastern provinces of Yemen in favor of foreign agendas.

The General Council for the People of Mahra and Socotra said in a statement that the outcomes of the consultative meeting held by the STC last week in Aden city were just blatant fallacies that serve foreign projects with the aim of destabilizing security and stability in Yemen.

The Council boycotted the invitation to participate in the consultative meeting, considering that its convening came with funding from the occupying countries, according to the statement.
