SHABWA, May 09 (YPA) – Saudi military reinforcements arrived on Tuesday in Shabwa province, east of Yemen.
Sources familiar with the matter said the reinforcements entered the province after coming from Al-Wadiah border crossing, and would head to Aden city, south of Yemen.
The sources added that the military reinforcements was accompanied by more than 100 various armored vehicles, after they took control of Al-Shaab district, the largest district in Aden.
The sources confirmed that these moves came in conjunction with the decisions issued by the head of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council to appoint members of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council as deputies, including the Salafist leader of the largest faction of Al-Amaliqa forces, Abd al-Rahman al-Mahrami.
The reinforcements came after the Saudi-funded Dara al-Watan Forces” took control of the Al-Wadiah border crossing in Hadramout province, instead of the militants of the “141 Brigade” affiliated with the Islah Party, led by Hashim Al-Ahmar.
