During his meeting today with the YSMO’s Executive Director, Ibrahim Al-Moayyed, and his deputy, Muhammad Al-Dailami, the Prime Minister affirmed the government’s support for the organization’s efforts to consolidate and develop its roles in protecting the consumer and the national economy from adulterated goods and materials that violate specifications and standards and lack quality.
He considered the YSMO’s job is to protect citizens’ safety and health, while also protecting the environment.
The meeting discussed the organization’s development plan, as well as its problems and challenges and ways to reduce them.
In the meeting, Al-Moayyed and Al-Dailami pointed out that the YSMO had worked from an early age to rehabilitate and develop its laboratories in the port of Hodeida, in line with the reopening of the port and the absorption of all goods flowing through it.
They emphasized that the main purpose of these projects is to strengthen and develop the organization’s original role in consumer protection.
