Poland hands over 10 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine

WORLD, May 09 (YPA) – The Polish Minister of National Security, Mariusz Błaszczak, announced that Poland had handed over 10 MiG-29 jets to Ukraine.

Polish President Andrzej Duda previously promised that Poland would supply Ukraine with 14 MiG-29 aircraft.

the German government approved Poland’s request to transfer MiG-29 fighters left over from the German Democratic Republic’s stockpile to Ukraine.

On 5 April, Duda announced a plan to supply Ukraine with 14 MiG-29 fighters, while retaining modified versions of them according to NATO standards.
