Sayed Abu Amna, the political secretary of the Supreme Council of Beja, a leader in the Red Sea state, said: “Peretz’s mission, for which he was sent, is to help us as Sudanese in the democratic transition, and not to force us as an independent people and a sovereign state to accept the solutions he proposes.”
Abu Amna confirmed that the citizens want Peretz to leave Port Sudan immediately, in eastern Sudan, pointing out that the matter is also related to the Emirati ambassador.
This is not the first time that the Sudanese have expressed their anger at the practices of the Emirati ambassador.
Earlier, a clip showed thousands of Sudanese trampling pictures of the Emirati ambassador in the Red Sea state.
