US F-16 fighter jet crashed in South Korea

SANAA, May 06 (YPA) – The US army announced that an F-16 fighter jet crashed during a training flight on Saturday near a US military base in South Korea.

CNN News Network quoted the US Air Force in South Korea in a statement, saying that the plane crashed in an agricultural area near Osan Air Base at about 9:45 AM local time.

The statement added: “the pilot parachuted safely and was taken to the nearest medical institution, pointing out that the incident did not result in civilian casualties”.
