Footballer assassinated in Marib

MARIB, April 29 (YPA) – A Yemeni soccer player was assassinated on Friday in the center of the city of Marib, in northeastern Yemen.

According to local residents in Marib, the player of al-Araish Club in Marib, Amin al-Jaradi, was shot dead by armed men while he was participating in breaking up a fight that occurred between children in the city.

Marib city and the other provinces, which are under the control of the coalition forces, have witnessed an unprecedented security chaos, which led to killing and kidnappings dozens in light of the proliferation of armed groups fighting for influence and control over levies.
