Lawyer assassinated in Taiz

TAIZ, April 14 (YPA) – A lawyer was assassinated on Wednesday in the center of the city of Taiz in southwestern Yemen.

Local sources said that unknown gunmen assassinated the lawyer and legal secretary “Abdul Aziz Sufyan Tamimi” in Sinwan area of Maafir district, which is under the control of factions loyal to Islah party.

Taiz city is witnessing unprecedented insecurity, through a series of mass assassinations target politicians, military and clerics, in light of a continuous state of security chaos and a clear inability by the security agencies appointed by the resigned President Hadi to control the situation and establish security in the city.
