WORLD, April 10 (YPA) – At least two policemen and one terrorist were killed in firing by unknown terrorists in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province on Sunday night, police said in a statement on Monday.
The incident happened in the provincial capital of Quetta where the terrorists attacked “Eagle Squad,” a police squad that patrols on bikes across the city.
According to the statement, the squad was on routine patrolling duty when it was attacked, and in a retaliatory attack, a terrorist was also killed.
The accomplices of the slain attacker fled the scene, and a search operation is underway, the statement added.
Two policemen were also injured in the attack and had been shifted to a nearby hospital.
No group has claimed the attack yet.
Earlier this month, the Pakistani army announced that four Pakistani border guards were killed in a terrorist attack by an armed group from Iran on the border between the two countries.
