Ansarullah leader comments on US President’s remarks about Yemen war

SANAA, April 03 (YPA) – A leader in Ansarullah Movement commented on the US President Biden’s announcement of his country’s desire to reach a permanent cessation of the war on Yemen.

A member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, Mohammed Nasser Al-Bukhaiti, said on Twitter that the announcement of the American president is for media consumption.

“If he was honest, America would have submitted a draft resolution to the Security Council to stop the aggression and lift the blockade in order to cancel the previous resolution that legalized it with American support,” Al-Bukhaiti.

He went on to say, “stopping the war represents a mutual interest between Yemen and its neighbors.”

Al-Bukhaiti accused America of continuing interventions to disrupt more than one agreement to end the war, adding the US would “use in the future war crimes against Yemen as material to blackmail Saudi Arabia and the UAE financially.”

“The continuation of the blockade on Yemen and the plundering of its wealth is an essential part of the war,” Al-Bukhaiti added, indicating that the effects of the economic war are more dangerous than the effects of the military war.

He threatened the coalition countries, saying: “If the blockade is not lifted, we will have to go through a decisive military round targeting the economic structure of the countries of the aggression coalition, especially the oil facilities, ports and airports.”
