Coalition’s gunmen kidnap two families in Marib

MARIB, March 19 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition’s gunmen in Marib have kidnapped two families from Rayma province while being on their way to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

Local sources said in the coalition-held city of Marib that the gunmen belonging to the Islah party had kidnapped the family of the citizen “Qasim al-Dhabari” and the Yemeni expatriate’s family in Saudi Arabia “Muthana al-Salafi” while they were heading to al-Wadiah crossing.

According to the sources, the two families, including 5 children and two women, in addition to the two men, have been kidnapped near al-Wadiah border crossing.

The sources revealed that a military point of the coalition forces in the new desert road, which was opened by the coalition authorities in Marib last week, confiscated also the car and took the two families to an unknown destination in the city of Marib.

The relatives of the two abducted families appealed to tribes and sheikhs of the city of Marib to intervene to release the abducted children and women and to stop the violations against travelers.

Many Yemeni citizens and travelers have been subjected to arbitrary kidnapping and enforced disappearance by coalition recruits in the city of Marib, since Sanaa International Airport closed.
