SANAA, March 16 (YPA) – The European and Mediterranean Seismological Center reported on Thursday that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5,2 on the Richter Scale occurred in the province of East Java, Indonesia.
The center said in a statement that the earthquake occurred at 05:22 on Thursday morning, UTC, 266 kilometers south of the city of Jember, which has a population of 298 thousand people.
“The epicenter of the earthquake is located at a depth of 30 kilometers and there are no reports of injuries or material damage from the earthquake”, the center added.
