Russia warns US against ignoring no-fly zone over Black Sea

MOSCOW, March 16 (YPA) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned Washington against ignoring the no-fly zone declared by Russia over the Black Sea since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, and that ignoring it is an attempt to escalate.

“Russia Today” quoted Lavrov as saying: “Since the start of the special military operation, the Russian army has announced a no-fly zone in specific areas over the Black Sea, and stressed that Washington has ignored this.”

He added, “The blatant disregard for this objective fact indicates that the American side is constantly trying to look for some kind of provocation to escalate the confrontation.”
